Freedom Riding

Our program is designed to be used in conjunction with clinical therapies.

Freedom Riding is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. As such, all contributions and matching gifts are tax-deductible as permitted by law.   As much as our donors and host can accommodate, all services are free of charge.   Freedom Riding accepts participants with a variety of special needs.  We do have the option for fee-free for those who express need.  As a 501(c)3, we don't offer "lessons" for those who are outside the program's design.

Animal Husbandry

We place high value on quality of care for both our clients and our animals, and this is enabled by kind and frequent communication with the visitor and/or the supervising adult.

We blend relationships, presence, and trust.

How we serve

Our equine-assisted therapy (EAT) program, as well as other animal interactions, are intended to compliment traditional clinical therapy.   Our  horses are rescued so they share in the care.

why we serve

More than 1 in 5 people with a challenge that includes mental health elements, report difficulty getting care due to high costs. Help us make a difference.

We care about our animals, and adopt careful practices of animal husbandry. This practice combines art and science - blending quality vet care and an unbounded amount of affection.
